We are currently using an old storage room here at Allderdice to film our morning announcements using a small video camera. My students and I painted the back wall green as a green screen for filming. This is our first school year video producing the announcements instead of reading them over the intercom. Wow, how this sparked a new interest in this building! I have new students daily, grades 9-12, wanting to film, read and edit the announcements. We actually have to have a schedule now because of the interest. I would love to upgrade the experience and spark a new career choice for my classes and the students of Allderdice! We have also started to sign up for video competitions and this would be a great add for those and to build up the program!
