My Students

I work at a Title I school and all of our students are recovering from Hurricane Harvey's disaster. We will find relief, we will recover, and we will restore. Basic computer skills are for every student. The use of our computer lab helps our students learn computer and peripheral operations, achieve technology literacy and fluency and master cross-curricular technology skills. Making sure that our students have clean proper working equipment in the computer lab is a goal set to make sure that each student achieves success.

My Project

Using a variety of props, objects and creating a pretend scenario will help promote the highest levels of language and literacy development. The students will learn that there are many reasons for people to use reading, writing, numbers, and drawing, as they create, act out themes, and roles for our Christmas production. They will also learn number sequence forwards and backwards through the song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas." Using the props that they create to go along with the different characters in the song will help the students to grasp the concept much easier while telling a story in a fun and exciting way!
