My Students

My preschool class is made up of 31 students (16 AM and 15 PM) who come from various backgrounds. Many come from one income households, single parent homes, and children who enter my class often times have special needs. Please help them learn, explore and discover new thing through a variety of materials they can use while at school.

My Project

Students will be able to learn in a new way. The best way for my students to learn is hands on. Being able to see the materials, light up or touch the different sizes and textures of objects will increase their understanding of the world around them. Adding magnetic materials to our light table/sensory area, will expand their understanding of cause and effect. Light tables and their materials can be used to enhance math, literacy and writing skills. Preschool children are drawn to the light table and staying there for an extended amount of time will also help with increasing attention span.
