Because of your generosity, my students now have access to a whole-class set of engaging read-aloud books that have made a meaningful difference in the way we learn together.\r\n\r\nThese books have allowed us to move beyond simply reading a story and answering questions. Instead, we have been able to slow down, discuss characters and their motivations, make predictions, find evidence in the text, make connections, and truly think about what we are reading. Having a copy of the book in each student's hands has made our read-aloud time much more interactive and has given every student the opportunity to follow along, revisit important parts of the text, and participate in meaningful conversations.\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest impacts has been seeing students become more confident in sharing their thinking. Students who may not always volunteer during whole-group lessons have been able to use their books to point to evidence, explain their ideas, and build on the thinking of their classmates. The books have also provided opportunities to build vocabulary and background knowledge while strengthening comprehension skills that students will continue to use throughout their education.\r\n\r\nYour donation has given my students more than just books, it has given them opportunities to experience the joy of reading, to think deeply, and to see themselves as capable readers and thinkers. I am incredibly grateful that you chose to invest in my students and their learning.
