Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are fantastic deaf and hard of hearing students who speak ASL. Lighting in our classroom is inadequate because we have a wall that was constructed between a larger classroom to have more classroom space, because of this we cannot control how bright the classroom lights are. They are either on or off and this makes it hard to watch The Daily Moth, ASL news, (like CNN 10) and other visual learning material which helps extend out classroom learning. I would love to better use Power Point projects that we can collaborate together on and this would be easiest projecting it on our screen but having other lighting in the classroom while the lights are off to promote ASL communication.
