I am writing to introduce and seek support for an exciting project aimed at enhancing inclusivity and accessibility in our learning environment. Our project aims to provide lighting solutions that accommodate the diverse needs of our students.
As an educator committed to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, I recognize the importance of addressing the unique sensory needs of our students.
Many of our students, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other sensory sensitivities, may be negatively affected by traditional fluorescent lighting. Harsh or flickering lights can cause discomfort, distraction, and even physical discomfort for some students, hindering their ability to focus and engage in learning activities effectively.
To address this challenge and create a more inclusive learning environment, we are seeking funding to acquire magnetic lighting covers that will create a more calming environment, reduce glare, and promote focus and concentration.
