This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are still working on learning recovery and social-emotional skills from the COVID pandemic. I strive to create a calm, relaxing environment for my second graders. They spend the majority of their day in our classroom. I am requesting seasonal LED string lights to create a calm and festive learning environment for my students.

Research shows that the classroom environment can affect student motivation and learning.

I am doing my best to create an environment that supports all learners. I am also requesting a variety of lanterns to use for flashlight days when we turn out the lights and read and do lessons in the dark. My students love it! The LED string lights will further create a positive and festive learning environment for my students. Thank you for supporting me in my goal to create a calm environment for my learners!
