This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Pre-K Scholars are amazing! Many of my students have never been to a daycare or learning center. This can be very intimidating as they enter the “Big School”. In spite of this, they come to school everyday eager to learn.
The great thing about my students is the wealth of knowledge they are able to retain everyday.
They do this by remaining focused and working together. They have learned how to treat one another and that it’s always important to work hard and do your best. Did I mention they are only 4?
My Project
The color printer will allow me the opportunity to print vocabulary cards and labels. The vocabulary cards will be used for the word wall and labels will be placed throughout the classroom in an effort to provide a print rich environment.
Students will build their vocabulary and develop an excitement for reading and writing at a very young age.
Laminating these items will allow students to use in a variety of centers over and over again. It is very important to create a classroom where students are
Printing a word with the corresponding picture in color allows students to make real world connections. Furthermore, building their vocabulary plays an important part in learning to read.
