Early Childhood Education is crucial for a great foundation for learning. My students are ages 3, 4, and 5. The children in our program receive free and reduced-price lunch. We serve children in economically disadvantages communities. This is why having high quality preschool gives them the foundation they need to be successful in kindergarten.
All children deserve high quality preschool.
The students in our classroom love to be creative! We love to paint, use play dough and create with blocks.
We would LOVE a light table in our classroom. This light table will be able to provide so many learning opportunities for my students. We can explore light, colors, shapes, shadows, patterns and use our amazing imaginations. The manipulatives can be used to reflect the themes in our classroom. When we are learning about insects, we can use the colorful insect manipultives as a way to explore the characteristics of insects. We also will be able to build upon foundation skills such as geometry and making patterns. When my students visited the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh they were infatuated with the light table experience they had there. I would love to bring that opportunity to the classroom and engage them in interactive and hands on exploration.
