My Students

I teach 14 funny, caring, and amazing PreKindergarten students (ages 4-5)! We enjoy learning through play with hands on games and materials! I am proud of how far this group has advanced academically and socially despite challenges they have faced battling the pandemic, and I know any tools we receive through Donors Choose will aide in that growth exponentially!

My Project

My PreK classroom aims to lay a positive foundation for my students’ lifelong learning journey. I strive to teach through play and show that learning is FUN! This light table would allow me to enhance my lessons through hands-on, activities and would allow for independent practice/play in areas such as color mixing, cause and effect, and fine motor practice. This equipment is portable, so I could easily use it during whole group instruction when teaching about primary colors, or it could be transitioned to “center time” where a student could use their pincer grip to put the letters on the table in the correct order to spell their name. The possibilities really are endless for this engaging and exciting light table and accessories! I appreciate your consideration!
