My Project

My kindergarten students learn best through hands-on, engaging experiences that support a variety of learning styles and abilities. A light table and sensory learning materials will provide interactive opportunities for exploration in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional learning. These resources will especially support diverse learners by offering visual, tactile, and collaborative activities that build confidence, creativity, and foundational skills in a fun and inclusive environment. All students entering kindergarten have different needs and abilities. This is the age when most students experience their first challenges and teachers are able to identify early on any challenges or disabilities and effectively intervene.

What an amazing way to engage all learners and abilities into curriculum with an exciting light table and hands-on materials.

Just this experience can help motivate and help students try their best.

My goal of this project is to enhance learning for all. Often times the huge transition from home/daycare into a school setting is challenging, overwhelming, and scary. Typical curricular materials are flat and do not entice the most eclectic learners. This light table and accessories can help all students of all abilities embrace education and materials that are meaningful and exciting.
