My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. The program I work for has a mixture of students that have a variety of disabilities including visual, physical, and medical. If they don't have a disability my students qualify for our program by a variety of at risk factors that make this early opportunity important for future school success. I have children from single parent homes, two parent homes, homes where grandparents are highly involved. My students love coming to school.

My Project

By adding a LED activity tablet to my classroom we will be able to look at x-rays and build with shapes. We will be able to add this to our science table so that we can develop a scientific mindset. Since this is portable, we will be able to move it and use it when we pretend to be veterinarians in the kitchen area.

We can use the transparent items to give a different aspect of building.

They will be able to see through and adjust or use a different thinking so that they adjust their ideas. I have students with vision deficits so the activity tablet will be used by all of my students not just a few!
