Your support is already making a difference- we have had several library lessons about music and classrooms have checked out our instruments for classroom use. These new books about feelings benefit my students for so many reasons. Students are learning to name their feelings, understand and regulate their feelings, and appreciate that everyone has the same feelings.\r\nWhen the students came in for their library time, they saw all the new books displayed. One student said, \"Where did you get all these books?\" To which I explained we have several library friends who donated these books for us. \r\nDuring library time, we sing songs, read a story, complete an activity, then check out books. For example, after reading the book \"Feels\" by Courtney Peebles, we sang If You're Happy and You Know It and changed the emotion (If you're mad and you know it stomp your feet, If you're scared and you know it cover your face, etc). Then we went to the tables and students were given crayons, markers, and chalk to draw things that make them feel happy, mad, scared, etc. I turned these drawings into our thank you notes, since my 3-5 year old students can't write yet. :) j\r\nThank you again for helping to develop our youngest students!","fullyFundedDate":1764638718478,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-big-feelings/9866009/","projectTitle":"Books for Big Feelings","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stacey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp581013_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1518886565333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/581013"},{"teacherId":581013,"projectId":9577957,"letterContent":"Right now, I have the materials for 8 storytelling baskets and working on gathering more materials for other stories.
