This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Project Summary-

In a busy middle school environment, clear communication is essential for student engagement and academic success.

I am requesting a portable JYX speaker and wireless microphones to ensure that every student can hear instruction clearly, regardless of where they are seated. This tool will also support collaborative learning, classroom discussions, and professional learning meetings where teachers share ideas and engage in meaningful professional development.

My Students-

My middle school students are energetic, curious learners who thrive when instruction is engaging and interactive. They participate in collaborative learning, small-group discussions, and hands-on activities that require clear communication, repeated directions, and verbal modeling.

The Challenge-

Middle school classrooms can be noisy, and eliminating the repetition of directions multiple times reduces valuable instructional time and can lead to teacher fatigue. During Professional Learning Team meetings, presenters also need an effective way to communicate with colleagues in larger meeting spaces without relying on built-in sound systems.

The portable JYX speaker and wireless microphones will help:

1. Ensure every student hears instructions clearly, increasing engagement and understanding.

2. Support flexible instruction by allowing teachers to move freely throughout the classroom while continuing to provide feedback and guidance.

5. Encourage student participation by allowing students to use the wireless microphone during presentations, discussions, and collaborative activities.

6. Enhance Professional Learning Team meetings by improving communication during teacher training, data discussions, and collaborative planning sessions.

The Impact -

When communication is clear, learning improves. This portable voice amplifier will create a more inclusive learning environment where every student has equal access to instruction, and every teacher can communicate effectively without sacrificing their voice. It is a versatile resource that will benefit hundreds of students and educators throughout the school year, making classroom instruction and professional collaboration more engaging, efficient, and impactful.
