Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students benefit from hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for real-world independence. This project will provide essential tools such as a trash can, garment steamer, and steam mop that students will use during structured life skills activities. Students will practice cleaning, organizing, and caring for their environment—skills that are critical for daily living, future employment, and personal responsibility. These tools allow students to engage in meaningful, functional tasks like managing waste, maintaining clean spaces, and caring for clothing. By practicing these routines in a supportive classroom setting, students will build confidence, independence, and practical skills they can use at home, in the community, and in future job settings.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
