My Project

Life skills are some of the most important skills we all will learn. In our classroom we strive to build on skills, we can carry with us well past the years of school. We encourage our students to be creative and work with their hands in hopes they may become entrepreneurs in the future. Leatherworking and woodworking are jobs that can be a safe, creative outlet for students with disabilities. Our students are excited to create and share the projects they make with others by creating a store of handmade crafts using the leatherworking tool set and jig saw set. Sharing their work will build their confidence and broaden their social skills. This will be a great opportunity to teach students dedication, confidence, technical skills, and social skills.
