Learning should be fun, challenging, and rewarding. I believe in bringing academics to life in the classroom and providing enriching experiences for the development of life-long learners.
My classroom has a wonderful mix of energetic and enthusiastic 7-8 year olds.
They come to school every morning with the desire to learn more and to take on a new challenge.
Our school is very larger (almost 800 students) with 25 in each third grade classroom. We are located in the valley in Northern California.
My Project
I am requesting a new carpet for my students to sit on when we do our group work together. Our classroom's theme is "The Ocean" so this rug will be perfect. One of my students' favorite projects in third grade is our chicken life cycle project. I am requesting a new egg incubator because our old one is no longer working. I also love to bring art alive and am requesting some art supplies to help with that.
These materials will help to provide an enriching and memorable learning experience for my third graders.
Since students learn in many different ways, it is important to present material using many different methods. Art and hands-on science are just a couple ways to bring learning to life for our students.
