Their faces lit up with excitement as we unpacked the items together. One student whispered, \"Wait... we get to earn these?\" That moment said it all.\r\n\r\nWe officially launched our Dojo Points reward store, and the results have been amazing. Students are now more focused, motivated, and eager to take on challenges. I've seen them working harder during lessons, being kinder to their classmates, and even helping clean up without being asked—because they're proud to earn their points, not just for the rewards, but for the recognition.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're using the reward system to support our current unit on teamwork and problem-solving. Students are earning points for showing leadership during group projects, and they're really stepping up. It's helping build a positive classroom culture where effort, respect, and kindness are celebrated.\r\n\r\nWhat's next? We're planning to add themed reward days, mini-challenges, and classroom jobs tied to the Dojo point system. This program is going to keep growing with our class, and your donation laid the foundation.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us—thank you for believing in our students and bringing joy to our classroom each and every day. Your contribution has made a tremendous impact on my 4th and 5th grade combo class. With the new nonfiction books, our students are diving into the fascinating world of biographies as part of their current project. They are not only gaining an in-depth understanding of influential figures, but they are also developing essential skills in research, critical thinking, and writing. By reading \"Who is?\" books, creating timelines, writing poems, and composing detailed 5-paragraph biographies, they are learning to organize information, express themselves creatively, and build a strong foundation in writing.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading has become more than just a time for enjoyment—it's an immersive experience that sparks curiosity and enthusiasm. Students are especially excited about the Biography Day where they will dress up as their chosen historical figures and present their work. For some students, this project has sparked a deeper love for reading nonfiction and they are particularly eager to explore more books in the Who is? series. One of my students, in particular, has become fascinated with learning about trailblazers in science, and he has been devouring books on famous inventors and scientists. The excitement in the classroom is palpable, and it's clear that the skills they are gaining are not only enriching their academic growth but also building their confidence as learners.\r\n\r\nYour support has made all of this possible, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity you've provided to help my students grow as readers and writers.
