The library STEM center offers learning activities for all levels of ability. My students live in a rural environment and need more hands-on experiences with technology and problem-solving. Over half of our students come from economically disadvantaged households and we have immigrant students from Somalia and Mexico. The school library media center serves the important purpose of providing resources for our students and teachers. These STEM activities will provide the opportunity for students to build, create, and problem-solve. We also need bins to stay organized.
Students that have hands-on activities are excited to learn.
My middle school students have been asking for things for STEM activities, puzzles and crafts in the library. The building blocks, puzzles, and other activities will allow students to use their creativity during their free time in the library. The great part is that students are learning while having fun.
