Library Media Center Stools

My students need stools to use in the library media center. The bulky chairs are not feasible with large class sizes.

My Students

This project will impact more than 500 students at W. Reily Brown Elementary School! Students in grades first through fifth visit the library daily for nearly an hour. Students range in sizes and ability to sit. It would be wonderful for students to have the opportunity to move more freely in their seats and turn and talk to their peers. We would love it if you could help our students have better seating options when they visit the library media center for next year!

My Project

With increasing class sizes, and growing students the library media center needs better options for seating. Students have difficulty "facing forward" so this will allow them the ability to spin freely or turn when we use our Virtual Reality goggles. The students use Chromebooks and other forms of technology and like to be able to move around. We also do various STEM and other hands on activities where students are often switching between standing and sitting.

The stools will also make it easier to store when they are not being utilized.

The students won't have to worry about larger chairs and will be able to sit more students to a table.
