The small cushions provided them with a little comfort to snuggle up with a good book and engage in sustained reading that they so desperately need. Best of all, I was able to provide some more books by authors and illustrators that reflect my classroom community. They can see themselves in the pages of the stories on the bookshelves. The students still mastering English now have bilingual books that can be shared with their peers and enjoy reading time too! Students look forward to having new materials to read both in class and to take home and share with their families! Books are always an investment, a gift, that keeps on giving. These items will continue to bring joy to students for years to come!
