Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life," said Henry Ward Beecher. Our students are currently being deprived of this necessity.

Our students are eager learners that come from poor socioeconomic backgrounds.

They do not have books to read at home, nor can their parents afford to drive them to the local library, therefore, as a teacher it is my responsibility to ensure that our students have access to as many books at school as possible.

My Project

Students need access to these nonfiction books for many reasons. Not only will students be able to read for specific learning tasks, such as book reports and research projects, but also for pleasure. Each year we demand more and more of our students with limited funding.

I do not want the funding crisis in education to stop my students from learning.

These books will help hundreds of students and dozens of teachers to learn exciting and new information.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
