My Project

Our school is an EL magnet school and serves a number of students from diverse backgrounds. Each student comes to the library 1-2 times a week to choose books to read for both class enrichment and enjoyment.

Learning English requires intense concentration and effort.

Our library currently only has 5 books in Spanish, and we do not have funding to purchase an extensive collection.

The books I am purchasing will allow our Spanish speaking students to balance reading to learn with reading for fun. At the same time, it will help make our library a place of inclusivity and diversion.
