Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like a set of floor cushions to add flexible seating options to the library. Students can grab a cushion and feel comfortable while reading their book. This will encourage more students to find a book and gain a love for reading. I also would like bookmarks to be added to the library. Students frequently ask for bookmarks and I would like to have them readily available. Soft plushed toys are familiar characters to students that come to the library. Young readers that visit the library will be familiar with the characters that I read during story-time. Seeing characters from popular books might encourage students to check-out more books by these authors.
