Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have many old, tattered copies of popular and well-loved books that desperately need to be replaced, but unfortunately, our library budget does not stretch far enough to replace them. These new copies will give students continued access to books they already love and are excited to read, helping them strengthen their reading skills, build vocabulary, and develop confidence as readers.

My goal is simple: to keep the books my students love in their hands and not out of circulation because they are falling apart.

Replacing these worn-out favorites will help ensure that students can continue choosing books that genuinely interest them and encourage them to read for pleasure.

My students are enthusiastic, curious readers who make our library a busy and exciting place. They recommend books to one another, eagerly wait for popular titles to become available, and sometimes love a book quite literally to pieces! With your help, we can replace these well-loved books and put fresh copies back on the shelves for our avid readers to enjoy again and again.
