This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the year continues, our students have moved many reading levels. They are so excited and proud of themselves! Now we need some new and exciting books for our budding readers to enjoy. These books were chosen with the specific interests of the class in mind. They also correlate to the many reading levels in our special education classroom.
I am requesting books to provide my students insight to the world around them and learn new ideas.
With these new books, we will be able to continue to nourish our students' reading while also teaching them many new things. Having sets of books allows us to work in small groups with the students. It also allows for the students to have their own discussions about the topics since they all were able to read the exact same story.
We know that if our students had fresh, new books they would continue to move up in their reading skills. We want to make sure that they reach their goals and are prepared for their new classes come September.
