My students come from a variety of cultures. They are rich in global experiences both positive and negative. They have such a desire for learning it takes my breath away. They want to excel in all areas and help their families be successful too. These are exceptional students who have harsh and difficult living environments. They have positive attitudes about education and their families support their efforts.
Their thirst for answers about everything is exhausting, but fills me with hope about our future society.
Due to increased enrollment at our school, our classroom was added and was a blank canvas in August. I want to provide them with a rich literary environment that is up-to-date and interesting. We need new fiction and vibrant non-fiction books that will spark more questions from their minds. Please help me create a rich educational environment to enhance their learning in a comfortable and colorful environment.
My Project
My students need fiction/non-fiction leveled books so they can comprehend at their reading level.
Leveled reading books will help ensure that they comprehend their reading better.
Not all students are on the same reading level in my 5th grade classroom, so leveled books are important for success in reading, comprehending, and moving up to grade-level reading.
Having a colorful and comfortable reading area with bean bag seats helps students want to read more and helps to establish a love of reading for a lifetime.
Please help my students read at their level so they can move up to the ultimate goal of reading on grade level.
