Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My middle school students are all reading at a basic or pre-basic level. This means that my 6th 7th and 8th grade students needs books on a kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade level. Middle school classrooms just aren't stocked with this sort of reading. I also want my students to be able to track their progress and to encourage them to read daily.
A Leveled Classroom Library will let them track what they read, record their fluency growth, and LEVEL up in their skills!
This will save me hours of searching for appropriate online text and even more time printing out appropriate things for my students to practice with.
Your help is critical in getting this resource into my classroom, as these books do NOT fit into grade level standards of fluency.
