My Students

We are an energetic bunch of 3rd graders! We have recently begun our book clubs and are very enthusiastic about sharing books we like. We have also begun a "creation club" and a "Prodigy" club in our class and enjoy sharing our creativity.

We are looking to expand our reading options in the classroom.

Our teacher just moved back to the US from living and teaching abroad for 8 years. As a result, she does not have as many cool books as she would like to provide for us to choose from. We are learning to choose books that are "just right" for our level. Having more leveled books in our classroom to choose from would help.

My Project

Students will have access to a wider selection of leveled books in the classroom library. Students need to be able to find books at their level that interest them. Students will be able to confidently choose a book they know is a perfect fit and continue to practice their reading skills and build enthusiasm for reading.

Each week students get to select a number of books to keep in their book box.

One of the books students choose must be a "Just right" book, or a book that is at their current reading level. This is a difficult task and finding the perfect book takes time. This library will help them find the books they need more quickly and confidently.
