My Project

For the past five years, our esports program has continued to grow and create new opportunities for students across our region. What started as a new way to engage students has grown into a program serving more than 1,200 students through competition, teamwork, leadership, and hands-on learning.

As participation continues to increase, so does the need for additional equipment.

Expanding our Nintendo Switch systems will help us serve more students, support additional competitions, and make sure students have access to the equipment they need to participate.

Our program has also grown beyond just playing games. Student Ambassadors now help run events, support broadcasts, assist with production, and take on leadership roles throughout the program. We have also recently launched an internship program, giving students another opportunity to gain real-world experience while helping support the continued growth of esports in our region.

This project will help us keep up with the demand from our students while continuing to build a program where they can compete, connect, lead, and develop skills that go far beyond the game.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
