Letters, Numbers, and Words, Oh My!

Help me give my students Magnetic Letter Tiles, Word Building Centers, and Storage Bins to help us learn at center time and have storage to keep it organized!

My Students

The students at my school are from a rural farm community. We have a small school at the edge of a large corporation. Our students come from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We are lucky to have great families that work hard and are involved in our school events, but we don't get a lot of extra funding from the state. This is due to our school not qualifying as a Title I school. Title I schools have a higher level of free and reduced-price lunches than we currently have.

My sweet kiddos are hard workers, but they have lots of extra energy and thrive during hands-on activities.

We try to keep moving around our classroom several times throughout the day to help with this. I also have tried to incorporate a flexible seating environment to keep their little bodies wiggling, while engaged in learning, while at our seats. We have had a lot of success when we use hands-on manipulatives and activities.

I love to provide learning opportunities that will get my students moving, thinking, and stimulating their learning by creating.

My Project

I am requesting some wonderful letter, word, and math activities to help my kindergarten kiddos practice during center time. They love to build words so the Magnetic Letter Tiles, Splash game, and Building Word Center will be perfect to use during our Literacy Centers. Then the math Centers will helps us practice counting and recognizing numbers during our math stations! Lastly, we need the storage bins and totes to help keep our items organize for use for years to come!

My students love learning with hands-on activities and these letter tiles, word games, and math centers will provide fun practice for my sweet kiddos for years to come!

My young students need to be able to keep moving while they are learning and all of these new centers and activities will allow them to do that all while providing wonderful learning opportunities to practice number recognition, counting, letter recognition, and word building.
