I have a bunch of the sweetest second grade students around! They want nothing more than to succeed. My school is in an area where there are lots of low income families. In fact, 50% of my school qualifies as low income.
Being in a low income school, the odds are stacked against many of these students.
They have challenges in their lives others don't which makes learning a bit more difficult.
From anxiety, to ADHD, to learning disabilities, my students come from a vast range of backgrounds. My hope is to make every effort possible to help them succeed.
My Project
I would love to give my kids an opportunity for more playtime both actively during outside recess and for their minds when we are stuck inside. Too many times I see kids just walking around alone at recess saying they have nothing to do, or they are bored. This project will give them lots of activities to do while getting them moving and working out their energy. This project will encourage group play and creativity at recess. For those days the weather keeps us inside, having some games to work their problem solving minds will be so much better than putting on a movie to pass the time. I am so excited to bring more activity to my students both inside and outside.
