The money given for flexible seating in my classroom has been so beneficial. My kids have absolutely loved having different options for sitting on during work time. \r\n\r\nThe wobble chairs have been so great for a couple of my most wiggly students. It has helped them stay focused on their work and they are getting things done. Before using these chairs they were all over the place and falling behind because they couldn't get things done. \r\n\r\nThe spinning chairs have been so beneficial for my student who has some pretty big behavior challenges. When he is feeling overwhelmed he takes a clipboard and his work back to the spinning chair and the motion helps him get things done while his emotions calm down. \r\n\r\nThese are just a few examples of the benefits of the flexible seating options in my classroom. I am so thankful for your donations that made this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1755700827353,"projectUrl":"project/focused-flexible-seating/9521302/","projectTitle":"Focused Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp117186_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1481127707832","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/117186"},{"teacherId":7623048,"projectId":9487971,"letterContent":"In our classroom, magnetic letters have been an engaging and versatile tool for promoting letter recognition, occupational therapy, and fine motor skill development. Students use the magnetic letters during literacy centers to identify, match, and build uppercase and lowercase letters. This hands-on activity allows them to manipulate and explore letter shapes, strengthening their understanding of the alphabet while also improving hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity. \r\n\r\nTo continue to build a supportive classroom environment, we've also incorporated the sensory materials into a designated calm corner. This space provides students with sensory tools such as fidget items, textured materials, and calming visuals that help them self-regulate when they feel overwhelmed or overstimulated. The combination of soothing textures and quiet space allows students to refocus and return to learning with a sense of calm and readiness.","fullyFundedDate":1755700883510,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-learn/9487971/","projectTitle":"Ready, Set, Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hancock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7623048_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753129381093","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7623048"},{"teacherId":2947270,"projectId":9527314,"letterContent":"My students are loving the convenience of having a seat sack! They've helped my students stay organized by giving them a consistent place to keep their notebooks, folders, pencils, and other supplies. For young children who are still learning how to manage their materials, this kind of structure makes a big difference.\r\n\r\nBy storing supplies behind their chairs, my students have more room on their desks to work comfortably. This extra space allows them to focus better during lessons and activities without being distracted by clutter or limited workspace.\r\n\r\nHaving everything within reach also makes transitions smoother and quicker. Instead of getting up to search for materials, my students can grab what they need from their seat pockets right away. This helps me make the most of my instructional time and keeps the day running more efficiently.\r\n\r\nSeat pockets also encourage responsibility and independence. When my students have a personal space to manage, they begin to take ownership of their belongings and learn to keep things in order. These small habits contribute to important life skills that they will carry with them beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause materials are so easily accessible, my students are less likely to get up and move around, which cuts down on distractions and helps maintain a calm and focused learning environment. Additionally, seat pockets make it easy for me to provide individualized tools for students who need specific supports, allowing for subtle differentiation without singling anyone out.\r\n\r\nOverall, seat pockets have played a quiet but powerful role in helping my students feel more confident, responsible, and ready to learn every day.","fullyFundedDate":1755700534929,"projectUrl":"project/seat-pockets-because-chairs-deserve-bac/9517403/","projectTitle":"Seat Pockets: Because Chairs Deserve Backpacks Too!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vigil","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3600270_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y92&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753894714875","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sara-vigil"},{"teacherId":7623048,"projectId":9049047,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card you provided will be a tremendous asset to my classroom. With it, I will be able to access high-quality, ready-to-use educational resources created by experienced educators, which will greatly enhance my teaching. These resources will allow me to better meet my students' diverse needs and save valuable preparation time, making it easier to implement diverse teaching tools that improve the learning experience.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the math manipulatives and materials you donated are going to have a direct and positive impact on my students' learning.
