My Students

We LOVE music! Do you remember the first time you got to play on a drum or shake a maraca? My students enjoy creating music and would love the opportunity to record and arrange their own songs here at our elementary school.

Our school is located in a small country town.

We don't have access to many resources. We are a Title I school and nearly 80% of our students receive free or reduced rate breakfast and lunch and all receive fresh fruit and veggie snacks. They really enjoy their exploratory classes and learning about music, instruments, and dances from around the world. However, we would love to also create our own music and arrangements through the use of technology.

My Project

With the growth of technology these days, our students need the tools to be able to keep up in society. Adding Chromebooks to the music classroom will give them the opportunity to learn in new and exciting ways.

Not only will they be able to explore the infinite information on the Internet and learn more about music than they ever thought possible, but they will also get to see and hear their own creations come to life.

This will open up a whole new world of possibilities for my students to love and appreciate music for the rest of their lives!
