This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the luxury and pleasure of teaching Contemporary Health to students in grades nine through twelve. They are enthusiastic children who arrive to school each day prepared to learn. I teach in a Title I school, which means that the majority of my students are low-income.
Regardless of the obstacles they face outside the classroom, they come to school prepared to succeed.
They desire a change in their circumstances, and as their teacher, I pledge to help them achieve that goal. Due of my students' dedication to learning, they frequently lack the resources necessary for success. As their teacher, I want to ensure that all of my students attain their full potential and continue to study throughout their lives. I genuinely care about my students and want the best for them.
My Project
My students engage in a variety of topics in my contemporary health course, including personal and consumer health, mental health, family social health, and human growth development. For our next lessons on Nutrition and Fitness and Substance Abuse, I thought it would be a fantastic idea to teach my students about nutrition and healthy living, followed by outdoor activities.
Students benefit greatly from my course by learning how to eat healthily and exercise regularly.
We will utilize the portion size puzzles to help us envision the appropriate amount of food to eat in relation to the amount of sugar in the meals we eat. My students will be able to get moving with the stop watches and game cones as they participate in a range of outdoor activities. My students will utilize the flipcharts to learn about substance misuse and how to avoid it. Then I'd like to conclude the unit with a nutritious snack, which will teach them that there are other options available while snacking.
