Let's Talk About Math!

Help me give my students materials that are going to help engage them. I am looking to create a hands-on learning environment where students are up out of their seats, being productive, and conversing with other students.

My Project

I am looking to bring a hands-on approach to my middle school math classroom. I want to get students up and out of their seats. I want to see them sharing strategies and ideas with each other.

My classroom will have students conversing with others, engaging in the content, and working out problems together.

With these materials such as the the balances and white boards, I will model what this type of classroom will look like and get the students up and talking about math. I want to facilitate concrete, representational, and abstract learning amongst my students. This math practice will help students to remain engaged, on task, and help them to grow in math.
