This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have students who come from all kinds of backgrounds. They range anywhere from grade levels behind in their education to achieving far above grade level.

They come from troubled and unsafe neighborhoods.

Whatever their background, they still find the motivation to come to school every day because they know education is the key to their future. Whether they choose to to go college or a trade school, I will help them to get there.

I want them to be able to reach those expectations that I have for them and they have set for themselves.

My Project

My students are very visual learners. They don't always have the tools to keep themselves organized at home, so I like to provide what I can in the classroom.

Some things that will help them stay organized are a calendar and a storage pocket chart.

A large monthly calendar will help them to know about upcoming events as well as work they might have missed if they were absent As in many schools, cell phones are not allowed in the classroom. Since our school does not have lockers for students to store their belongings, a pocket chart will give the students place to store their phone or other small items during class.
