My Students

My students are working hard to manage their time and their assignments at home. They really appreciated when Google rolled out Break-out Rooms this month so they could work in even smaller groups. They like to work through math problems and solutions together. They talk more when they are in smaller groups.

My students also participate in Morning Meeting, where they greet each other every morning and do some type of activity together.

My Project

When students are in Google Meets during virtual learning, I often need to present my screen for lessons. When presenting, I am unable to see students. I can only hear their voices. This is extremely limiting in regards to discussions and class participation.

A monitor will allow me to share slides, etc.

while still being "in the class" with students. We often use slide presentations for various lessons, including math, science, social studies and reading. We also read books together on a digital platform. When using these teaching tools, a monitor will allow me to still see the children and, as a result, more effectively engage with them.
