My Students

It's hard to believe we've almost completed the first half of our year. I've got an amazing group of eager students who are learning academics right along with how to be cooperative community members. I feel lucky to spend my days with these awesome kids!

Along with our rigorous academic program, my school believes whole-heartedly in the power of the arts.

When we combine art with our other subject matters, we hook kids into learning in a way that might otherwise be missed.

My Project

The first grade students at our school are so lucky this year! We have a "real artist" coming to teach lessons to us each month. She is a retired teacher and an acclaimed watercolor artist. In order to make this experience the best that it can be, we want to provide our students with quality art materials.

Our students' eyes light up whenever they hear that "our artist" is coming!

Making the most out of these visits requires having the right materials to make the projects work. This project will provide us with quality watercolor paper and paints, along with embellishments to make our art unique and special.

Thank you for helping us spread the joy of art and the joy of learning. I can't wait for you to see some of the finished projects.
