Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are enthusiastic learners and are beginning to understand and appreciate their environment and the world they live in. They enjoy hands-on activities and experiments. They appreciate anything that is donated to our class.
My Transitional Kindergarten students are eager to learn and become great mathematicians and scientist.
However, we lack some supplies to fulfill their needs. I teach wonderful, curious, and active students who live in a low income, high poverty area of Los Angeles. The majority of my students are second-language learners.
My Project
My Transitional Kindergarten students and I use the classroom computer and printer to print original artwork, worksheets from trusted websites, and student-made books that include photos. The printer helps me to print parent newsletters that keep the connection between home and school going, to create learning centers for practicing basic skills in reading, pre-writing, and math and to print out student-generated stories. Ink is vital to our continued success in the learning environment.
A donation of ink will help them grow into readers, writers, and much more.
They will be able to print books and other needed learning materials. My TK students and I would like to thank you in advance for your support. You are the ones who let the children explore, discover, dream, and create!
