Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a high poverty school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch! I have high expectations that they will grow and learn beyond what is expected. We are learning skills such as robotics, coding, and typing along with our curriculum. School is a safe and happy place for my students. Each day, they come into the classroom excited about the day and spending time exploring and learning together. For many of my students, being at school is the best part of their day.

My Project

My students get tired of sitting in the same place with their hard chairs that do not move. Being able to have a different chair to sit in if they choose would be great. This would allow for the students to feel more comfortable and allow them to concentrate better. Giving kids a special place to sit with cozy chairs that provide flexible classroom seating wherever you need it, is ideal! The chairs with the table are cushioned with back supports that adjust to the perfect position. The table is low to the ground allowing them to sit on the ground, with a pillow, or with the cozy chairs. The wedge mobile student desk so many ways to configure seating for the classroom. Since the desk are on locking casters it will allow the students to work individually and with small groups.
