This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students love to use dry erase markers on their desks to solve math problems, practice their word work and reading comprehension. With that being said, we go through a lot of dry erase markers. These markers will help replace their faded markers. The pocket pouches will help keep their reading books and writing folders organized for easy access. Many students like to shove papers and books into their desks and they get ruined easily. These pouches will prevent the books from being damaged and provide a place for kids to store their important work. The magnetic letters will help my readers practice their words in a fun way. We practice a variety of skills weekly and they can "build" the words with these letters. I'm excited to see the excitement on my students' faces! They will be thrilled to have replacement markers, a place to keep their important books and letters to practice their weekly words.
