My Project
A class set of the children's novel by Peter Brown, The Wild Robot, will make an indelible difference in my students' learning: at home, at school, now, and into the future. The story elements (re: character(s), setting, plot...) will surely capture the attention of my 4th grade readers!
Each chapter presents an invitation to receive and make academic connections to the sciences, as well as other subjects. From the beginning, Roz, The Wild Robot, finds herself in a saga of unanticipated circumstances that not only reinforce scientific concepts, but also respect, cultural diversity, and compassion for others. This makes the novel, The Wild Robot, an amazing experience for my students!
