Help me give my students a variety of books to read and learn about different holidays and celebrations of other cultures and our own. Also, provide my students with some new PE equipment!

My Students

I have an incredible group of young learners who are at the exact age where they are beginning to really learn how to read and understand different concepts that will help them be successful! I am a fairly new teacher and would love to create a fun and exciting library for my students, but I am lacking a variety of books for them all to read. Their ability levels range from students who struggle in school due to learning disabilities, to students performing above grade level and are gifted. One common characteristic among all students is their enthusiasm for learning.

My Project

These new books will provide new reading materials for my students to enjoy in the classroom and at home! We have a reading program called Accelerated Reader, which tests their comprehension, where they receive points for the books they read and earn a prize for the amount of points they get. These books will allow them to earn more points throughout the year, while also learning about different holidays and celebrations from around the world. The new jump ropes will allow my students to have new equipment to use at PE and recess. These will assist with learning the skills of hopping, jumping, and general body movement coordination.
