My Project

As an Elementary School Counselor, a huge part of my job is to help students build and develop their Social Emotional skills through Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Due to the disruptions and isolation of COVID, I continue to work with my students to develop and refine basic social skills such as problem solving, conflict resolution and cooperative play. What better way to learn these skills than through PLAY!

Help me give my students an opportunity to learn cooperative play utilizing the board games many of us grew up with.

Play improves the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and young people. Through play, children learn about the world and themselves.

As students gain more practice, we will host a family game night. Students will guide their parents through a night of family engagement, laughter and fun. All free of technology.
