My Students

My students face challenges daily to become and or maintain their healthy lifestyles. My students live in a rural neighborhood that does not have several recreational activities, especially for female students. Covid-19 canceled our season for the last two years. We now need new uniforms for this season and equipment for this season.

My student-athletes at our school are driven, smart, and kind people.

These athletes work hard and try their best every single day. We are a low-income Title school. It is very hard to be able to afford to purchase the necessary equipment for our team. We lost our last two seasons due to Covid-19. Most of our equipment is outdated and unsafe for use. This softball team is made up of girls from grades 6-8. These girls deserve proper equipment to help them improve their softball skills.

My Project

Donations to this project will turn the dream of having a softball team into a reality. Our school has never been able to fund a junior high softball team, and having the ability to have team uniforms donated to our girls will be such an amazing thing for these students to experience. The generosity of those who donate to Donors Choose will bring our small, rural school district one step closer to fulfilling its potential. Not only do our student-athletes work hard to gain the skills necessary to compete, but with uniforms they will look like professional athletes.
