My students need hop along balls, a balance beam, mini basketballs, a portable hoop, a parachute, a CD for parachute activities, and an active play kit.

I currently am the lead Pre-K teacher at a Title 1 school in Brooklyn, NY.
Many of our students come from low income homes, barely being able to afford basic school supplies. Many of my students parents work longer than usual hours in multiple jobs, barely having time to spend time with their children, let alone take their children to the park or even a walk around the neighborhood.
My Project
I am requesting materials to be used during our free play gym time. Unfortunately, we do not have access to play outside, so our gym is inside in a basement. Over the years the materials that we use for our students have either broke or become so worn out, that they are no longer able to be used. The materials that I am requesting will provide 5 Pre-K classes with various physical activities, to ensure each child develops gross motor skills, necessary at their young age. Children will be able to jump rope, hula hoop, parachute, balance, play basketball and more with the materials I have requested. With child obesity on the rise, we are trying to ensure our children meet the minimum recommendation for daily physical activity.
Your donations will help ensure that 90, four and five year old children meet the minimum daily recommendations for physical activity, and help fight the problem of child obesity for future classes.
