My Project

I'm a physical therapist that works in schools with children with special needs. They have a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments.

We have recently gained more space in our school to create a sensory friendly therapy room.

We would love to have a tunnel to include in our obstacle courses as well as to encourage imaginative play. Many of our students love enclosed spaces and working on fine motor skills within the tunnel would create a calming space during OT sessions.

The fitness steps are a great tool to help imitate both the step on and off the school bus which is challenging for many of our students as well as to mimic curb practice and modified stairs for students who needs a calm and sensory friendly environment to practice these skills before integrating them
