This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help the students of our school make homemade soap to donate to a local woman's shelter! The students came up with a wonderful community-based project to lessen the amount of waste in the world and help those in need! Making homemade soap is better for the environment than buying mass-marketed soap because it is cheaper to make your own and is also extremely versatile. Our students need soap-making kits and supplies and are looking forward to making the soap for those in need and being chemists to make their own colors and scents! Thank you!
