This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Increasing the literacy needs for students should forever be the common goal of our nation, our communities, and our schools. I know it is for me and this is what I seek to do on a daily basis with the students that I see everyday!
My students are THE BEST!!!!
They are students who are faced daily with many difficulties and challenges but come to school each and every day because they know at our school, they are home! These students attend a Title I school that is surely going through tough times like the rest of the nation but we DO NOT let that idea hinder the reality that we must teach and prepare our students for their future and what is to come for them.
My Project
These Magic Tree House books and Cds will help my students by allowing them to work in literature circles and participate in book clubs while having actual real-time conversations which is a portion that is so vital to literacy that is often overlooked. Students will be able to select books along with the accompanying CD that will allow them to listen to the book being read to them which will increase their vocabulary as well.
